The planting of the Pocket Forest behind St. Joseph the Artisan Church took place on 11 December. Our volunteers returned to plant the trees and hedgerows. It was a wonderful day of teamwork and community.

Bonnybrook Parish welcomed the Pocket Forest Enterprise people to guide is in the preparation of our mini forest behind our church. This pocket forest will enhance our local environment and create a lasting green space for generations to come.

On Monday, April 22nd this year, people around the world will be marking Earth Day, this is a day on which we remind ourselves that we all live as ‘one family’, relying on the same air, water, food, and resources.

As the Season of Creation 2023 draws to a close, it was with great joy we welcomed the Eco Congregation Climate Justice Candle to our parish to guide us in our celebrations.

The Season of Creation 2023 runs from 1 September to 4 October 2023, the feast of St Francis of Assisi.

On 4 December 2022, Bonnybrook Parish received the highest award for an eco-aware parish. This was granted by Eco Congregation Ireland and was presented to Sr. Margo and her team by Archbishop Dermot Farrell.
